Your skin is not designed by nature to retain its tone and firmness forever. As you get older or expose yourself to certain environmental or lifestyle factors, your skin could sustain damage that cannot be reversed through regular face washing or over-the-county skin care products. When you want to truly rejuvenate your facial features in a non-surgical way, you may be a good candidate for dermal fillers.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are fillers that are injected into the treatment area. They are made out of substances like hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyl apatite, depending on the filler that is used. Our cosmetic professionals can use them to diminish lines and wrinkles and restore volume and fullness to the face and other parts of the body, such as the hands.
More specifically, dermal fillers can be used to:
• Plump the lips
• Soften fine lines and wrinkles
• Restore lost volume
How are Dermal Filler Treatments Performed?
These non-surgical treatments are performed in the comfort of our office. You will first come in for a consultation, during which we will evaluate your facial features and determine if dermal fillers can benefit you. From there, we can come up with a customized treatment plan using a specific filler. Some of our filler options include Juvederm®, Radiesse®, and Restylane®.
During the actual procedure, the filler is skillfully injected into the preselected area(s). Little to no downtime is involved, so patients can return to their normal activities quickly. The results may last for several months to one year, depending on the type of filler. The treatments can be repeated at our office as needed for ongoing benefits.
Candidacy for Dermal Fillers
You may be wondering if you are a good candidate for dermal fillers. Generally speaking, good candidates are in good overall health and have realistic expectations. They also have a concern that fillers are able to treat. Dermal fillers can make your skin look smoother and fuller, giving you a more youthful, refreshed appearance.
